ASPIRATION - ပတၳနာ

ပတၳနာ (Patthanᾱ) - ေတာင့္တျခင္း၊ ဆုပန္ျခင္း၊ ပတၳနာျပဳျခင္း။

အဂၤါငါးပါးႏွင့္ ျပည့္စုံေသာ အဘိသိက္သြန္းၿပီး မင္းသားႀကီးျဖစ္ေသာ မင္းသားသည္ အိမ္ေရွ႕မင္းသားအရာကုိ လည္းေကာင္း၊ မင္းအျဖစ္ကုိလည္းေကာင္း၊ ေတာင့္တႏုိင္သကဲ့သုိ႔ အဂၤါ (၅)ပါးႏွင့္ ျပည့္စုံေသာ ရဟန္းသည္လည္း အရဟတၱဖုိလ္ကုိ ေတာင့္တႏုိင္သည္။

Hope; wish
Being replete with the five factos, the eldest son of a King may aspire to become heir-apparent and later to become king. In the same way, a bhikkhu replete with the five factors may aspire to arahatship.
