ေဗာဓိသတၱ (Bodhisatta) - ေဗာဓိသတ္၊ ဘုရားအေလာင္း၊ ဘုရား ျဖစ္မည့္ ပုဂၢဳိလ္။

ဘုရားေလာင္း (၃)မ်ဳိးရွိသည္ -

(၁) ပညာဓိကေဗာဓိသတၱ - ပညာလြန္ကဲ၍ ၄-သေခၤ်ႏွင့္ ကမၻာတစ္သိန္းမွ် ပါရမီျဖည့္ရေသာ ဘုရားအေလာင္း၊

(၂) သဒၶါဓိကေဗာဓိသတၱ - သဒၶါလြန္ကဲ၍ ၈-သေခၤ်ႏွင့္ ကမၻာတစ္သိန္းမွ် ပါရမီျဖည့္ရေသာ ဘုရားအေလာင္း၊

(၃) ၀ီရိယာဓိကေဗာဓိသတၱ - ၀ီရိယလြန္ကဲ၍ ၁၆-သေခၤ်ႏွင့္ ကမၻာတစ္သိန္းမွ် ပါရမီျဖည့္ရေသာ ဘုရားအေလာင္း။

Future Buddha; one destined to become a Buddha

There are three types of Bodhisatta;

(1) The Bodhisatta, who for four asaṅkheyyas and one hundred thousand aeons, fulfils the practice of Perfection, pᾱramῑ, with Wisdom predominating, pannadhikabodhisatta;

(2) The Bodhisatta, who for eight asaṅkheyyas and one hundred thousand aeons, fulfils the practice of Perfection, pᾱramῑ, with Conviction, saddhᾱ predominating, saddhᾱdhikabodhisatta; and

(3) The Bodhisatta, who for sixteen asaṅkheyyas and one hundred thousand aeons, fulfils the practice of Perfection, pᾱramῑ, with Endeavour predominating, vῑriyᾱdhikabodhisatta.
