EYE - စကၡဳ

EYE Cakkhu

စကၡဳ - မ်က္စိ၊ အျမင္။

ဗုဒၶစာေပ၌ စကၡဳအျမင္ ငါးမ်ဳိးရွိသည္။

စကၡဳငါးပါးကား -

(၁) ဗုဒၶစကၡဳ - ဣေႁႏၵအႏုအရင့္ကုိလည္းေကာင္း၊ သတၱ၀ါတုိ႔၏ လုိအင္ဆႏၵကုိလည္းေကာင္းသိေသာ ဉာဏ္မ်က္စိ၊

(၂) သမႏၲ စကၡဳ - အလုံးစုံေသာတရားတုိ႔ကုိသိေသာ သဗၺၫုတ ဉာဏ္မ်က္စိ၊

(၃) ဓမၼစကၡဳ - သစၥာေလးပါးတရားကုိ သိေသာ ဉာဏ္မ်က္စိ၊

(၄) ဒိဗၺစကၡဳ - နတ္မ်က္စိႏွင့္တူေသာ အဘိဉာဏ္မ်က္စိ၊

(၅) ပႆာဒစကၡဳ - ႐ူပါ႐ုံကုိျမင္ႏုိင္ေသာ အၾကည္ေတာ္မ်က္စိ။

Vision

There are five kinds of Eye in Buddhist literature, viz.,

(1) The Eye of knowledge that understands the state of maturity of a being, his proclivities, etc., Buddha cakkhu;

(2) The Eye of knowledge that knows all there is to be known, Samanta cakkhu;

(3) The Eye of knowledge that comprehends the Four Ariya Truths, Dhamma cakkhu;

(4) The supernormal vision like that of the devas, Dibba cakkhu;

(5) The physical eye or the faculty of vision, Pasᾱda cakkhu.
