HIGHER PSYCHIC POWER Abhiññᾱ

အဘိညာ -     အဘိညာဥ္၊ ထူးကဲေသာ အသိအျမင္ ဉာဏ္စြမ္းရည္။

အဘိညာဥ္ (၆)မ်ဳိးတုိ႔ကား -

(၁) တန္ခုိးအမ်ဳိးမ်ဳိး ဖန္ဆင္းႏုိင္ေသာ ဣဒၶိဓအဘိညာဥ္၊

(၂) နတ္နားကဲ့သုိ႔ အသံအမ်ဳိးမ်ဳိးကုိ ၾကားႏုိင္ေသာ ဒိဗၺေသာတအဘိညာဥ္၊

(၃) သူတစ္ပါးတုိ႔၏ စိတ္အႀကံကုိသိႏုိင္ေသာ ပရစိတၲ၀ိဇာနန အဘိညာဥ္၊

(၄) မ်ားစြာေသာ ေရွးဘ၀တုိ႔ကုိ ျပန္ေျပာင္းဆင္ျခင္ႏုိင္ေသာ ပုေဗၺနိ၀ါသာႏုႆတိ အဘိညာဥ္၊

(၅) နတ္မ်က္စိကဲ့သုိ႔ အဆင္းအာ႐ုံ အမ်ဳိးမ်ဳိးကုိ ျမင္ႏုိင္ေသာ ဒိဗၺစကၡဳ အဘိညာဥ္၊

(၆) အာသေ၀ါတရားတုိ႔ကုိ ကုန္ခန္းေစႏုိင္ေသာ အာသ၀ကၡယ အဘိညာဥ္တုိ႔ ျဖစ္သည္။

Supernormal knowledge; special apperception

There are six kinds of higher psychic power:

(1) higher psychic power capable of producing many miracles, iddhividha obhiññᾱ;

(2) the divine ear which is like the hearing power of the devas, dibbasota obhiññᾱ;

(3) higher psychic power which enables one to read the thoughts of others, paracitta vijᾱnana obhiññᾱ; also called cetopariya obhiññᾱ;

(4) higher psychic power which enables one to remember past existences, pubbenivᾱsᾱnussati obhiññᾱ;

(5) the divine eye or the divine power of sight, dibbacakkhu obhiññᾱ; and

(6) higher psychic power which can eradicate defilements, ᾱsavakkhaya obhiññᾱ.
