MORAL INTOXICANT Ᾱsava

အာသ၀ -       အာသေ၀ါတရား။

အာသေ၀ါတရားဆုိသည္မွာ သတၱ၀ါတုိ႔၏ သႏၲာန္၌ ယုိစီးေနတတ္ေသာတရားျဖစ္သည္။ အာသေ၀ါတရားတုိ႔သည္ မူးယစ္မိန္းေမာေစတတ္ေသာ သေဘာကုိ ေဆာင္ၾကသည္။ ၎တုိ႕သည္ လုိခ်င္မႈေလာဘ၊ အယူမွားဒိ႒ိႏွင့္ အမွားအမွန္မခြဲျခားႏုိင္မႈ ေမာဟတုိ႔ျဖစ္ၾကသည္။

အာသေ၀ါတရား ၄-ပါးရွိသည္ -

(၁) ကာမာသ၀ - ကာမ၌ မူးယစ္ျခင္း၊

(၂) ဘ၀ါသ၀ - ဘ၀၌ မူးယစ္ျခင္း၊

(၃) ဒိ႒ာသ၀ - အယူ၌ မူးယစ္ျခင္း၊

(၄) အ၀ိဇၨာသ၀ - သစၥာေလးပါး အမွန္တရားကုိ မသိျခင္း၌ မူးယစ္ျခင္း။

အာသေ၀ါတရား ကုန္ခန္းျခင္းဆုိသည္မွာ အရဟတၲဖုိလ္ကုိ ရရွိျခင္း ရဟႏၲာျဖစ္ျခင္းပင္ ျဖစ္၏။

Influx; bias; canker

Ᾱsava conveys the idea of something flowing out, something that intoxicants the mind. Ᾱsavas are rooted in Craving, lobha; wrong view, diṭṭhi; and bewilderment, moha.

They are usually classified into four categories:

(1) being intoxicated in the five sense-objects kᾱmᾱsava;

(2) being intoxicated in better existences, bhavᾱsava;

(3) being intoxicated in wrong view, diṭṭhᾱsava;

(4) being intoxicated in the ignorance of the Four Ariya Truths, avijjᾱsava.

Complete extinction of Ᾱsava is attainment of arahatship.
