NON-RETURNER Anᾱgᾱmi

အနာဂါမိ -      အနာဂါမ္၊ ကာမဘုံ၌ ပဋိသေႏၶမေနေသာ ပုဂၢိဳလ္။

သမထ၀ိပႆနာ ႐ႈပြားရာတြင္ အနာဂါမိမဂ္သုိ႔ ဆုိက္ေရာက္ဆဲပုဂၢိဳလ္ကုိ အနာဂါမိမဂ္ပုဂၢိဳလ္ဟုေခၚသည္။ ထုိမဂ္စိတ္ ခ်ဳပ္ၿငိမ္းသြားသည္ႏွင့္ တၿပိဳင္နက္ အနာဂါမိဖုိလ္ျဖစ္၏။ ထုိအနာဂါမိဖုိလ္ပုဂၢိဳလ္မွာ ဤလူ႔ဘုံသုိ႔ ျပန္မလာေတာ့ေသာေၾကာင့္ အနာဂါမ္ဟုေခၚသည္။

အနာဂါမ္ပုဂၢိဳလ္သည္ ေဒါသႏွင့္ ကာမတဏွာကုိ အႂကြင္းမဲ႔ပယ္သည္။ ဗ်ာပါဒ၊ ပိသုဏ၀ါစာ၊ ဖ႐ုသ၀ါစာ ကမၼပထသုံးပါးကုိလည္း ပယ္သည္။ ထုိ႔ေၾကာင့္ ကာမဂုဏ္တရားတုိ႔ကုိ ခံစားျခင္း၊ ေပ်ာ္ေမြ႕ျခင္း၊ စုိးရိမ္ပူေဆြးငုိေႂကြးျခင္း မရွိေတာ့ေခ်။

ထုိ႔ေၾကာင့္ အနာဂါမ္ပုဂၢိဳလ္အျဖစ္ျဖင့္ေသလွ်င္ ကာမသုဂတိ ၇-ဘုံ၌ မျဖစ္ရေတာ့ဘဲ အထက္႐ူပ, အ႐ူပ ျဗဟၼာဘုံတုိ႔၌သာ ျဖစ္ရသည္။

One who is not subject to rebirth in the realm of sensual pleasures

He who is on the verge of reaching the third state of the Path while engaged in the Tranquility and Insight meditation is called one of Anᾱgᾱmimagga. As soon as the Path-consciousness (magga-citta) ceases the Fruition of Anᾱgᾱmi (Anᾱgᾱmi phala) arises in him. He as one of Anᾱgᾱmi phala is then called Anᾱgᾱmi, for he no longer comes back to the world of human beings.

The Non-Returner eliminates hatred (dosa) and craving for sensual pleasures (kᾱmataṇhᾱ). He also eradicates the three actions of ill-will (byᾱpᾱda), back-biting (pisuṇa-vᾱcᾱ) and harsh words (pharusa-vᾱcᾱ). He therefore does not enjoy sensual pleasure any more nor does he suffer sorrow and lamentation. As a result he is reborn only in the upper world of Brahmas and as fine material sphere (Rupavᾱcᾱra) and non-material sphere (Arupavᾱcᾱra) but not in the seven planes of the sensuous sphere.
