ONCE-RETURNER Sakadᾱgᾱmῑ

သကဒါဂါမီ -   သကဒါဂါမ္ပုဂၢိဳလ္။

သမထ ၀ိပႆနာပြားရာတြင္ သကဒါဂါမိမဂ္သုိ႔ ဆုိက္ေရာက္ဆဲ ပုဂၢိဳလ္ကုိ သကဒါဂါမိမဂ္ပုဂၢိဳလ္ - ဟု ေခၚသည္။ ထုိမဂ္စိတ္ ခ်ဳပ္ၿငိမ္းသြားသည္ႏွင့္ တၿပိဳင္နက္ သကဒါဂါမိဖုိလ္ ျဖစ္၏။ ထုိပုဂၢိဳလ္ကုိ သကဒါဂါမ္ဟု ေခၚဆုိ၏။

သကဒါဂါမ္ပုဂၢိဳလ္သည္ ကာမဘုံ၌ ပဋိသေႏၶေနေသာအားျဖင့္ တစ္ႀကိမ္သာ ျဖစ္ရေတာ့သည္။ 
သကဒါဂါမ္ပုဂၢိဳလ္သည္ ကာမရာဂ သံေယာဇဥ္ႏွင့္ ပဋိဃသံေယာဇဥ္တုိ႔ကုိ အႂကြင္းမဲ့ မပယ္သတ္ႏုိင္ေသာ္လည္း အားနည္းသြားေအာင္ ျပဳလုပ္ႏုိင္သည္။ သကဒါဂါမ္ ပုဂၢိဳလ္၌ ရွိေနေသးေသာ ကိေလသာမ်ားသည္ က်ဲပါးသြားေသာ တိမ္လႊာကဲ့သုိ႔ အင္အားနည္းပါးေသာ ကိေလသာမ်ားသာ ျဖစ္သည္။

He who is on the verge of reaching the second stage of the Path while engaged in the Tranquility and Insight meditation is called one of Sakadᾱgᾱmῑ magga. As soon as his Path-consciousness (magga-citta) ceases, the Fruition of Sakadᾱgᾱmῑ arises. He is then called Sakaᾱgᾱmῑ. A Sakadᾱgᾱmῑ is reborn only once in the Sensuous Sphere. Though he is incapable of eliminating the fetter of sensual attachment (kᾱmarᾱga) and the fetter of aversion (paṭigha), he can weaken them. The remaining defilements in him are those of insignificant strength as vanishing clouds.
