PAYING HOMAGE Vandanᾱ

၀ႏၵနာ -         ရွိခုိးျခင္း။

ရတနာျမတ္သုံးပါးတုိ႔အား ရွိခုိးျခင္းအမႈကုိ ျပဳၾကရာ၌ ရွိခုိုးျခင္း (၃)မ်ဳိး ရွိသည္။

(၁) တည္ျခင္းငါးပါးႏွင့္အညီ ကုိယ္ျဖင့္ ရွိခုိးျခင္းသည္ ကာယ ၀ႏၵနာမည္၏။

(၂) ႏႈတ္ျဖင့္႐ြတ္ဆုိ ရွိခုိးျခင္းသည္ ၀စီ၀ႏၵနာ မည္၏။

(၃) ရတနာျမတ္သုံးပါး၏ ဂုဏ္ေက်းဇူးေတာ္မ်ားကုိ စိတ္အစဥ္တြင္ ထင္ျမင္ေစလ်က္ စိတ္ျဖင့္ ရည္မွတ္၍ ရွိခုိးျခင္းသည္ မေနာ၀ႏၵနာ မည္၏။

Paying obeisance

There are three modes of paying homage to the Three Gems (i.e, Buddha, Dhamma and Saṁgha):

(1) kᾱyavandanᾱ - paying homage physically with the five-fold manner of contact;

(2) vacῑvandanᾱ - paying homage verbally; and

(3) manovandanᾱ - paying homage by reflecting on the supreme attributes of the Three Gems.
