ေထရ၀ါဒ (Theravᾱda) - မေထရ္အဆက္ဆက္တုိ႔ မေပ်ာက္မပ်က္ရေအာင္ ေဆာင္ထားအပ္ေသာ ထိန္းသိမ္းအပ္ေသာ ဘုရားစကားေတာ္ အယူစကားစဥ္။

အရွင္မဟာကႆပစေသာ မေထရ္အဆက္ဆက္တုိ႔ မူရင္းမပ်က္ သံဂါယနာတင္လ်က္ ထိန္းသိမ္း ေစာင့္ေရွာက္ထားအပ္ေသာ ဘုရားစကား ပါဠိေတာ္အတုိင္း က်င့္ႀကံေနထုိင္ေသာ အယူ၀ါဒကုိ ေ၀ရ၀ါဒဟု ေခၚသည္။

The Teaching of the Buddha that has been preserved intact by generations of bhikkhus.

The texts of the Buddha’s Teachings approved at the Councils by the Ven. Mahᾱkassapa and later generations. The views of the Buddha, according to which bhikkhus observe and practice as has been agreed upon at the Councils and handed down without any changes by the Theras led by the Ven. Mahᾱkassapa is called Theravᾱda.
